HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!:D but before celebrating, please know the origin of valentine's day. its not just any romantic day but there's definitely more meanings to that.

"One of these men named Valentine was a priest during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Valentine was revered by the young and old, rich and poor, with people of all walks of life attending his services. At this time Emperor Claudius was heavily recruiting men to serve as soldiers for his wars without much success. The men preferred not to leave their wives, families and sweethearts to fight in foreign lands. Claudius became angry and declared that no more marriages could be performed and all engagements were cancelled.

Valentine thought this to be unfair and secretly married several couples. When Claudius found out, he threw Valentine in prison where he died. Friends of the priest retrieved his body and buried it in a churchyard in Rome.

Another version had St. Valentine jailed for helping Christians. While Valentine was in prison he cured a jailer's daughter of blindness. Claudius became enraged and had Valentine clubbed and beheaded on February 14, 269 A.D.

Yet another story claims that Valentine fell in love with the jailer's daughter and wrote her letters that were signed "From your Valentine."

All of the seven Valentines eventually evolved into one. In 496 Pope Gelasius declared the day in honor of St. Valentine. Through the centuries the Christian holiday became a time to exchange love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. Lovers' quarrels come under his jurisdiction and, naturally, he is the patron saint of engaged couples and of anyone wishing to marry. "

and today was a great day in school and out of school!!! this year v day is more interesting compared to last yr which was spent with zhilin shopping. i kept telling her just now that that was my worst valentine's day. HAHA.

JC's way of celebrating v day is totally diff from sec school. jc is so much more fun. but my class guys are really really really lousy like shit. they did nothing for the girls lah. and my angel!!! whom i think i know who is it is the lousiest angel ever in history. just my luck. haiya!!! roses and balloons everywhere in school. and cai gave me the balloon heart bcos he told me its too bulky got him to bring it. being nice, i just took it. i hope i dont sound so cheap. haha. oh yeah, this morning, i also met up with the tpjc4JC group to finish up tying the lollipops to the cards. i think this group of ppl are really radical in their faith. its great to work with them and they have alr planned so many things for the coming events. they rock! all these are for His glory. im sure many ppl are going to be so impacted by the cards. tpjcforJC!!! so cool!!!

after sch, i rushed to meet aili and went to bugis to meet the rest of the d5 girls. i have a date with them. bcos of this date, i rejected other. haha! ok. so we watched p.s i love you. BORING show. 27 dresses is so much more romantic can!!! disappointing. i was so tired during the show and i almost slept. fungqi slept during the show! super funny!!! the show has no climax and thats what really makes it boring. i want to watch juno!!! and yeah!! im watching with huishi, kim and weeyang tmr! i hope the guys wont pangseh us. im also going to buy nike stuffs tmr! hurray!!! i need shoes!!!

the movie ended around 7 and we went to meet some of the guys for dinner. and it was so funny. throughout the meal, some of us were like fang hua chi-ing over the guys in our school especially peifen and me. we were like entertaining them with our experiences in school. i think we were super noisy but who cares!! peifen is super super funny lah!!! she's like so crazy! and ranford must be scared of us now. hahaha. but he was like saying that tp business has alot of pretty girls! HAHA! peifen said this "in nyjc, the eye candies are enough to fill your stomach" and i was laughing like mad! super funny! eye candies and eye candies and eye candies. and i told them about huishi's and my experiences with the eye candies in our school. hahaha. we are not so crazy but at least, this makes school's life more interesting and makes us want to go to school. but really, it was the heart that attracted me the most. a volunteering spirit. i wish i have it too. hahaha. yay! i love being with d5. we can just let go and say everything thats kept in our heart for long. i think almost everyone knows my secret alr lah. even ppl in my class. ahhhh!!! but! God still comes first no matter what. annlynn shared with me a story just now and it was so touching and it really spoke into my heart. He is always there waiting for me, but the question is, how long am i going to let Him wait. its not just about leading my own life as i want. others can, but i cannot! others can have bgr, but i cannot. i want to live a life for God, live a life for others. thats the purpose of me living in this world. no longer i, but Christ who lives in me.
